The Cordoba is a custom solid timber desk handcrafted in American Walnut at our Brookvale workshop in Sydney. In an era of flat-pack home offices, a desk in solid American Walnut is a genuine statement: a workspace that you actually want to sit at, built to a standard that will outlast every computer you ever put on it.
Two generous drawers handcrafted in solid Walnut feature traditional dovetail joinery and integrated finger pulls, running on Blum Movento runners for smooth, silent operation. The frame is joined using mortise and tenon joinery, one of the oldest and most reliable techniques in woodworking, ensuring the desk stays solid and square for decades. Softly rounded edges throughout give the piece a refined, tactile quality that feels as good as it looks.
American Walnut's deep, rich chocolate-brown tones and fine grain create a desk surface that is as beautiful as it is practical. It is hard, resistant to scratches and dents, and develops a richer patina over time that only improves with use.
The Cordoba is fully made to order. Length, depth, height, leg design, and finish can all be customised to suit your home office or study.
