The Belgrano is a custom round dining table handcrafted in solid American White Oak at our Brookvale workshop in Sydney. Its most distinctive feature is the base: a single cone hand-sculpted entirely from solid timber by our makers at our Brookvale workshop, a form that tapers from a generous footprint to a clean, precise meeting point with the tabletop, anchoring the table with quiet confidence while leaving the space around it completely open and light.
The tabletop is 42mm of solid American White Oak, but a 100mm chamfer on the underside creates a striking optical illusion: the top appears impossibly thin and refined, floating above the sculpted base with an elegance that belies its true substance. It is a table that rewards close inspection, every detail more considered than the last.
American White Oak is prized for its warm, honeyed tone and fine straight grain. It is one of the hardest and most durable furniture timbers available, and develops a rich patina over time that makes every piece more beautiful with age.
